The White Plains Presbyterian has been certified as a PC(USA) Earth Care Congregation through our enrollment in the Green Faith Program . To become an Earth Care Congregation, we affirmed the Earth Care Pledge to integrate environmental practices and thinking into all facets of our church life. We have also completed projects and activities in the fields of worship, education, facilities, and outreach. We have done this because we feel called to be stewards of God’s creation and recognize environmental stewardship as an integral part of a sustainable future.
Making a commitment to work toward environmental sustainability in every aspect of life is one way we celebrated our tri-centennial year of mission and ministry (1714 - 2014). Even as we celebrated 300 years of nurturing faith in our city, we committed ourselves to the future God is even now preparing.
